can i cook a joint in the bowl as the top rack does not sit very well over the joint for yorkshires

Hi Judith

It can be done but with no air circulating under the joint it will take longer to cook.
Others have suggested cooking the joint and then cooking the yorkshires while the meat rests.

Hi Judith,

I cook my meat first, and while that's resting I do my roast spuds yorkshires, and stuffing balls , works well for me , but I have a 12litre which gives more space with the added extra extension, I find most of my meat including chops and steaks cooks much nicer on the lower rack.

Hi my name is Lindy and i'm using a 15ltr halogen , never used it before , and I was given it, sadly with no instructions, been looking through all sorts of sites, but can't find any that give me cooking times for a joint of topside weighing just over 2kilos. Do I wrap it in foil and put put it on the small rack?, put holes in the foil to let jiuces trhough?. I find you can't tuck foil around a piece of meat as the fan lifs it, so i presume complete wrapping is advised ?? Can anyone help me please. Thank you Surprised)
