Thought I'd join you and hope you can all help me get used to my new oven!
I have coelic disease and so cook all of my food from scratch - I've had my oven a few weeks now and have successfully roasted chicken, potatoes and parsnips and baked a crumble. I attempted a sponge cake yesterday - I used a low and high rack and switched the tins halfway through - one was fine, the other wet in the middle - think I'll try the extender next time...
Would be grateful for any tips re fruitcake - if I can master this in my halogen then when I renew my kitchcen I won't bother with a 'regular' oven - here's hoping!
Anyway - that's me - looking forward to trying some of your recipes in the coming weeks

I did the 2 tins sponge cake as well, same problem even with the extender ring. For me it works best if I bake them one at a time.
You will find a fruit cake recipe n the A to Z of recipe section. Not sure if anyone has tried this yet.
The best thing to do is to read some of the previous posts for tips and advice on baking cakes.

As Reeta has said, have a good read when you get time. If you can't find what you need just ask and someone will try to help.
