Post  Brenda on 10.12.09 13:20

hi, i have never been on a forum before, so i appolgise if i get it wrong.
i am over 55, and just bought a halogen oven (our electric has died and we need new electrics for it-and christmas is coming!!!)
i am married, have four children, 3 sons and a daughter and more a future daughter-in-law.
My oven did not come with recipes, only about 4 in the manual, so it is going to be trial and error. i am so glad i have found somewhere to get help.
keep up the good work.

Hi Brenda,

Welcome to our forum. Within the posts on the forum you will find all sorts of things from recipes to videos. Sometimes pays just to have a look through.

With the new Halogen Oven, there are various things to be aware of. I put a post into the Tips section about cleaning and a few other bits and pieces. Included in there is the info that when you cook a joint, you do need to turn it over about half way through otherwise the top is cooked and the bottom is not.

Hope you find plenty of ideas and also suggestions that you may find most helpful. Don't hesitate to ask if you have a problem of any kind with the oven or recipies.

Happy cooking

John (Wimplebum)
