Silicone bread bake ware

Post  toots on 14.01.11 12:49

Hi everyone,

Has anyone used one of these in the halogen for baking loaves, my old tin one is past it's best now and needs replacing, so I was thinking of buying a silicone one instead. Some reviews I have read on Internet has mixed responses, on this product for bread making.

Hi Toots ( and everyone )

I also would like to know if these silicone bakeware are any good

I saw some silicone bakeware yesterday ( cake ' tins' ) at only a pound each ( from Poundland !), but they were very shallow, and very flimsy and didnt seem to hold their shape - so what would they be like full of cake mixture ?
I bought two sandwich tins instead. I hope they will be ok, but it would be interesting to find out what others think of the silicone ?
