Silicone bread bake ware

Hi everyone,

Has anyone used one of these in the halogen for baking loaves, my old tin one is past it's best now and needs replacing, so I was thinking of buying a silicone one instead. Some reviews I have read on Internet has mixed responses, on this product for bread making.

Hi Toots ( and everyone )

I also would like to know if these silicone bakeware are any good

I saw some silicone bakeware yesterday ( cake ' tins' ) at only a pound each ( from Poundland !), but they were very shallow, and very flimsy and didnt seem to hold their shape - so what would they be like full of cake mixture ?
I bought two sandwich tins instead. I hope they will be ok, but it would be interesting to find out what others think of the silicone ?

Mame silcone bakeware are brilliant they are so easy to turn out from they are very good at maintaining shape I use mine lots the bread one is great for all types of recipes including meat loaf, I'm not sure of the cheaper one I got mine from Asda not overly expensive from there. Hope this info helps

Thank you for your help, I also saw some in pound land and your right very flimsy I have decided to by from Robert Dyas £4.99 but I think it's worth it as it's much better quality .

Have found a brilliant website siliconemoulds.com .. Uk site for silicon bakeware devotees..so am assuming it's safe to use?

Hi Katz42 Yes the silicone are safe to use and make it so easy to turn things out of just becareful as they don't all fit i've got a 12L ho and have trouble with tins fitting Good Luck
