How would I cook Potato Wedges with skin on please?

Post  princesspentium on 12.01.11 11:53

I'd like to cook potato wedges with skin on in my HO.
Should I cut potatoes into wedges then microwave for 5 mins, then proceed as for chips?

Any suggestions please?

Thanks

Ruthie

Hi Ruthie,

The recipe I have in my halogen book is as follows

4 - 6 Potatoes cut into wedges
1 Tbs olive oil
1-2 Tsp Paprika

Preheat oven 230-240c

Place potato wedges in a bowl with olive oil & paprika ensuring the potatoes are evenly coated.
Transfer the potatoes to a baking tray or simply put on lower rack.
Cook for 25-30mins until golden & cooked thru turn occasionally.

Hope this helps

You can also add chopped garlic, chillies or herbs for extra choice.

thank you again Toots.

I've added it to the A-Z. I'm sure it will be a popular one. Very Happy

Hi June

Thanks for putting into A-Z I have not tried this one yet, least I will learn how it goes when people use it. Did not recognise you in your new outfit very cute, did the chicken end up in the halogen pot for dinner, lol

Hi Toots

I didn't really like the chicken - it was a quick fix from the Santa smiley - and , yes, the chicken was HO'd yesterday - it had to be done lol!
