Is the light supposed to go on and off as you cook?

Post  riggalynn on 08.01.11 17:10

HI, I'm cooking my very first meal in the halogen oven. First of all I must say the instructions aren't very good and could be more helpful.I started to cook with the extender bit around the oven thinking I didn't have one. Rolling Eyes
Can you tell me if the light should go on and off as the chicken is cooking? I can't find anywhere that mentions this. No

Hi and welcome Riggalynn

Welcome

The provided books are no better than useless in many cases. As for the light, it is supposed to come on and off - it can look quite startling till you get used to it. It is the heat source and works like the thermostat on a regular oven or your heating.

Thankyou for that, I thought maybe there was something wrong with the oven Laughing it's a bit daunting when you first get it. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon, I'll be watching on here for tips and recipes.
Some sites you can post a question and you never receive a reply, I was surprised when I got an answer so quick. Thankyou very much. flowerz
