can someone help and tell me how to dehrate foods such as fruits and meats(jerky) etc ..

I have not attempted this in my HO but here is a useful link -

I'm sure if you experiment with the temperature a bit that it could be done. I believe jerky is marinated for several hours in soy, sugar etc and a balance of not cooking too quickly and not dehydrating so slowly that the food spoils is the key.

Dehydrator recipes
Apples - cut one large apple into 1/4 inch thick slices and place on the 1-inch rack.
Cook at 220ºF for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until dry but supple.
Got this from one of the HO manual
