Fish Fingers & Chips?

Hi all, Just been cooking fish fingers and chips, put the fish fingers on the bottom rack and the chips on the top rack but chips were very dry and the fingers were not done so I had to put them back in , do you think its better to put fish in top and chips at bottom??
hope someone can help, My oven is 7 litres thanks Sue.

Hi Sue

Difficult one with a small HO and I haven't tried it with mine but maybe trying this will help - half cook fish fingers on the top then put them on the bottom to finish while chips are cooking.

thanks Junie I will have a go at that and see I have just done fish and chips tonight that turned out ok I put the fish on the top rack turned upside down so it fit on the bottom of bowl still having a space for heat for 20 mins on 220 then I turned down heat to 200 and put the chips onto a baking sheet and just laid it on top of the upturned rack for 5 mins each side they were ok. hope you understand all that.
