Tarts and pies

Hi from South Aussie. I have purchased a perforated non-stick pie pan for my HO. Wanting to make quiches and 2 crust pies. Can anyone help me with any tips and advice before I start?

Hi Cooka best thing of all is enjoy the experience it's great fun. I've not cooked with perforated pie dish I've only used standarded tins but think if you treat quiches or pies as if in normal oven it tends to work lol! good luck let us know how you get on, yo could look through previous recipes for any tips

I've not done this either but some have mentioned blind baking the pastry base first.
