Hi john,

you can buy wire mesh and cut a circle to fit your Halogen Oven. This is similar to the frying pan splatter guard.

Cook burgers on bottom rack. Place mesh on top rack.

Halford and other DIY shops sell them.

Here's a link CLICK HERE

Hope this helps

Fat Splash Guard

Post  clasiechick1 on 26.01.11 23:30

Hi John!
In regards to the fat spitting, whilst cooking burgers etc. what I did was to buy the set of fat splasher guards ( they look like wire mesh bats) from the pound shop! (you usually place them on top of the frying pan when cooking) you get a set of 3, 1 large,1 medium and 1 small size. So all my husband did was to cut the wire handle off the medium 1and bingo it fits the 12 litre HO perfectly.
I just place it directly on top of the burgers, on the top rack, and the heat goes straight through and cooks the burgers, without the fat spitting every where. Just use a pair of kitchen tongs to lift it off, whilst you turn the burgers and then use the tongs to put it back on with as it will be very hot.
Hope you find this helpful.
Best wishes clasiechick1
