Blimey what have I bought?

Post  deniseatnycs on 29.11.10 15:40

Just back from the shops. Its raining, I was bored and my friend has one she swears by so I went out and bought my very first halogen oven.

It is now sat proudly on the worktop daring me to put it in the cupboard with the blender and the george foreman, the grater, the electric pepper mill, parmasen grater, steak mincer, steamer and all the other gadgets long forgotten and seldom used.

Really wanted to prove O/H wrong by actually using it but we have chips, fried egg, cooked ham and peas tonight so looks like tomorrow.

Forum looks great by the way and look forward to chatting with you all.

Hi Denise and welcome to the forum

Welcome

We all have cupboards/garages full of unused 'must haves'. I'm happy to say the HO isn't one of them - I hope you enjoy using yours too. Very Happy

Thanks Reeta & June

No donĀ“t get bored that often which is a good job.

Managed to cook my chips in the H/O and they were scrummy. No fat at all, which means I can knock the Actifry of my Christmas wish list and save nearly 150 euro as well.

Going to try cottage pie for my O/H and lasagne for myself tomorrow, will let you know how I get on.

I am really determined to use the H/O my friend uses hers all the time.

meal number two

Not very exciting but easy and low on the fat and washing up. Cooked my hot dog sausages and fried onions, no fat, one pan to wash and perfect.
