Hi claresutton
Hello and Welcome we are here to help if poss... you don't say the weight of you joint or if it's got a bone in so i've just put down basic guidelines for you hope they help Good Luck

Trim excess fat from joint (if not frozen lol)Season lamb
Cook @ 250c/260c at top oven till outside is well browned and to medium rare at it's thickest part about 10-15 mins if lamb is about 3.5 cm or if thicker 15 - 20 mins as with all meat rest for 10 mins before carving good luck let us know how it went

Eating

P.S this is called lighting quick lamb joint ..... you could always cook it at a more conventional way i.e. 20 - 25 mins per pound on low rack cover with foil if browning to quick. Roasr potatoes take about 1 hr to cook @ 200c
