Hi Everyone
Just bought my halogen oven flavorwave as it had the extra bits thrown in, just hope it does what it says on the packet. First try tonight with meat pie eek hope not to burn it... tell you how it goes later. afraid

I too am new to this style of cooking,only bought mine on Friday.my query is this ,do I need to cover a stew or casserole when cooking. Thanks.

Hi Pepsi

welcome

Covering with a lid or foil will help to stop the top overcooking while the dish cooks through. If not using a cover then you would need to srir more frequently.

Thanks for the welcome... as for meat pies would help if i relised my oven had two temp reading top line fahenhite bottom centigrade i read top line so pies took bit of time to heat up :confused: not put off i'm now baking a citrus grape cake been waiting to cook this one looks ok so far ummm do i dare eat think i'll test it on the partner first, hey you cannot kill the chef Chef

Just taken cake out looks good bit brown on top forgot i've got no tin foil to cover with (brains like a sieve at times) oh well thats desert done just main meal to figure out happy cooking everyone Very Happy
