Duck legs

Hi saw a recipe for slow cooked duck legs with cherries on GMTV,have never cooked duck and am going to give it a go tonight, the recipe sais, cook duck legs for 45 mins 170c for 45 mins but want to give it a go in my halogen oven. Please can anyone tell me how long and at what temp to cook my duck legs please.

I guess no-one has tried this. If you were brave enough to have a go, please be kind enough to let us know how you got on.

As a general rule think of your halogen oven as a powerful fan oven and adjust recipes to the fan oven temperature - they may cook a bit quicker though. As for time it's down to testing for 'doneness' and keeping a note with the recipe for next time.

I must confess in the end I used my main oven... as they were slow roasted.... but used the halogen to do my roast potatoes...

It was the first time I have ever cooked duck... but as soon as I do give it a try.. I will let you all know how I got on.
