Hi Ann

It doesn't look like anyone has tried this - or perhaps they are shy!!! Sad

You would be able to use any beef stew recipe in a suitable oven dish in your oven although the cooking time would be a bit less than in a standard oven. I haven't tried this yet so can't be more specific - sorry.

If you give it a go, perhaps you would be kind enough to let us know how you get on.

This is a Lamb Stew Recipe for the Halogen Oven

If you use beef instead of lamb that could work

I just cooked this on Frday....enough for one with 2x tupperware dishes left over for freezing.

Use braising steak........sear the meat on the circular baking tin plate ( my HO came with all the accessories)....take out and put in a casserole dish with one carrot...one onion.....3x dessert-spoons of onion gravy powder..season as you see fit....fill with water till the meat is almost covered.

Set on 200c....and cook for 90-110 mins..on the low rack.....check every 30 mins ....when the carrot is soft....the meat should be cooked....add sliced potatoes for about the last 30mins.....serve with roasters or Yorkshire pudding.
