Hi Fran and welcome

welcome

Here is a link for a roast chicken posted by Jan S that you may find helpful.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The chicken can be placed directly on the bottom rack and will need turning halfway through (place it breast side down first).

There is also a recipe in there for steamed veg. Hard veg steams well in a foil parcel with some water for steaming (can take about 50 mins or so at the bottom of the oven)

If you have time have a look through some of the other posts - if you use the search funtion it is a good way to find what you are looking for. The A-Z is also building and there are some tips for various roasts.

The recipe books provided are a disappointment to all which is why this forum is so useful. Most of us have had a bit of trial and eror to get things right but soon get a 'feel' for our ovens.

Good luck with your oven and don't forget to share your experiences with us when you can.

Hi Katz42

Baking seems to be one of the more difficult areas but our members have contributed quite a few recipes to our recipe A-Z section. Reading previous posts will help too.
A couple of quick pointers to help you - preheat the oven and use the top rack with the extender ring if you have one - the air circulates better.
