Help Needed

Post  Sharon on 15.04.10 15:11

I am seriously considering investing in one of these ovens, but there are a couple of issues before I go ahead:

1) Does the timer start ticking even if its switched on or off

2) Could I connect it to a timer switch?

I am in the throes of starting a new job, and will be 1/2 later getting home, so if I could buy one of these, and set it up on a timer switch to start cooking around 4pm, it will have cooked by the time I get home.

Any suggestions??

Hi Sharon and welcome

welcome

Unfortunately the timers are mechanical on most of these ovens that I have seen and therefore start ticking down from the moment they are set (on or off). This makes them unsuitable for use with a timer switch.

***I have just discovered that the Flavorwave Platinum has a digital control so it might be suitable for timer switch use - it would be worth contacting their customer service to find out ***

They do cook quite quickly and would still probably be a good purchase. Like many others, mine is in use almost every day.

Good luck in the new job and if you have any other questions - just ask flower
