broken halogen oven

I am so upset, my oven stopped working last evening, I have had two in the last 6 months, first one packed up in december, bought it in october, this one was a replacement, in december now it is not working, lights are on, it is blowing cold air only, not even the light in lid is on, I think the concept is brilliant and I used it every day as I am on my own, perhaps that is the cause to much use, I am so upset

No wonder you are upset computer
Appliances are always wonderful when they are working.

These ovens are so new that I don't imagine there are many reports yet on the reliability - especially across brands.

The only good news, if you care to call it that, is that you should still be within the manufacturers one year guarantee. Please let us know how you get on in getting a replacement.

Most of us seem to be giving our ovens a lot of use - mine too is on almost every day. I am encouraged by the fact that your experience seems to be unusual - although that is no comfort to you at the moment.

I hope you get a replacement that really lasts this time and can get back you your happy cooking soon. flower

Hi polegate

this is really bad luck. Well at least it's still under guarantee. The brand you have bought has issues and is just not working for you - if it breaks down again just after 12 months you will have to buy a new one.

Is it possible to ask for a refund instead ?
You can use it to buy a different brand.

This is what I would do polegate

Hi Reeta, thought I will tell you that I have had my h o replaced, complained to JML last Monday, new oven delivered on Friday so I cannot complain about service, just the product, i was told I could not have refund, as they only allow 30 day's for complaints to get refund, so a result so far

I agree JML customer service is good. I bought mine from them and some other items as well.

I do believe a lot of these Halogen Ovens come from China, but I am not sure about the JML HO

Anyway I am glad it's all sorted. You can start cooking again
