Yorkshire pud disaster
Hi did big roast for family at weekend. HO was big help with browning dishes that had to cook on lower shelves. Was thinking it would make the yorkshires wonderful as it is so dry heat. I cut down silicon tray and filled it with batter and tried to lower it into oven. All the mixture went into centre, had to trim off bit more of the tray to make it sit flat. Never mind, bunged it on at 200 anyhow. They browned but failed to rise. We was going to eat them flat but they had not cooked at all, mushy in the middle. Any help please. I usually do nice yorkshires in oven? Trish

Hi Trish,
here is a post from one of our members
"yorkies are a doddle and great to watch cooking.
do everything the same as you would in a conventional oven.
full power heat your pudding tray until you get a bit blue smoke.lift the lid and pour your batter in,turn the heat down to 180-200.simply cook them as well done as you like,i turn them upside down in their tray for the last 8-10 mins. hope this helps bob"
