Hi everyone

Post  whistonian on 27.03.14 9:18

I am a newby and got my first HO a couple of days ago.I was kindly given the link to this site by Elina when I asked a Question on AnswerBank.  I'm sure that i will have many questions in the future and hopefully will be able to help others when hopefully I ever become an HO cooking expert Laughing
I successfully managed to cook Sirlion steak and chips last night and grill some thick bacon this morning.I do most of the cooking as my wife is disabled, she says i have a new toy to play with Smile Bye for now all.

Hi Lesley, Not having 2 racks i did the Sirloin and chips separately.

I seasoned the steak with salt and pepper and cooked at 200c on the high rack for 12 minutes turning it half way.The steak was quite thick and we like it well done.I then wrapped it in foil until the chips were done.it was delicious.

I placed frozen chips on the high rack and cooked for 8 minutes, crispy on the outside soft in the middle, lovely.

I lay thick cut oven chips on foil in the air wave fryer ring with the extender ring on top at 200 for 23 minutes with no added oil and they come out perfect every time!

Excellent Lesley,I don't have an air fryer as i understand I cannot fit the extender ring with it as my HO has an hinged lid and it would not lift high enough. Laughing

You might be able to use the air fryer or some form thereof- go back to the seller and ask about air fryer attachments- mine cost £14.99 and paid for itself a hundred or more times over
