Jacket potatoes

I don't use baking potatoes as they are usually too big. Instead I use ordinary potatoes like Maris Piper, British Queens etc.
Start by washing the potatoes thoroughly. Don't be afraid to use a nail brush to get into all the little crevices. Dry the potatoes in a tea towel. Fork the potatoes all over including the ends. Place them on the solid tray of your HO. Pour some olive oil on the potatoes and brush over to cover the skins. Sprinkle with ground sea salt and black pepper. Place on the lower grid, don't use the extender ring. Cook at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Turn the potatoes over and ensure the skins are oiled, salted and peppered as before. Cook for a further 20 minutes. Remove from the HO and serve hot. Cut a cross on the potato squeeze and separate. put a knob of butter or some grated cheese on the potato. I cut mine in half, put on a knob of butter and grated cheese - the ultimate comfort food. Enjoy.

I cooked them with sirloin steaks, also in the HO. What a meal. 5 star.

Dribbling here- How do you do steaks in the halo? I've done mushrooms so steak, jacket spuds and mushrooms? Add a few peas and you have one of my all time favourite meals
