Welcome- believe me it's not that hard- for me the big thing is being able to see how things are cooking- no more shoving it in the oven leaving it and when you open the oven getting half blinded by the smoke because your dinner is now a small lump of flaming charcoal!

I am famous amongst my friends for living off takeaways as I don't like cooking but after 5 weeks, the takeaways are sending out search parties and I'm roasting a gammon joint etc. In terms of not using takeaways the oven has already paid for itself..even basic stuff is brilliant- I have the air wave fryer ring and when you bear in mind the Phillips air wave fryer is £167 at least..and its the best for oven chips etc. No need to add any oil just pop in for 20 or so minutes on foil and the best oven chips/croquettes/hash browns/Mexican potato wedges I've had will follow

Some people have posted disappointing results for these but we should look at the recipies forum as I am sure there must be a way
