tonight i made a lovely baked dinner for 5. it was a boned leg of lamb and i did baked potatoes and pumpkin. preheated the oven at 230 for 10 mins and put meat on the bottom rack and cooked at 230 for 20 mins then turned it down to 185 for about an hour. cooked the veges in the micro first after tossing them in a little olive oil and spices.then removed the meat when cooked and covered with foil. then places the veges on the top and bottom racks and cooked at 230( just browned and crisped them really as they were already cooked.)for about 15 mins. i used some of the juices to make gravy on the stove top. the wonderful thing is,as it was so hot today, i did it all on the patio so no hot kitchen. and the washing up was done in no time with no greasy baking dishes to contend with. i keep my HO on the kitchen bench as i use it most days now.made a cake in it yesterday.that went great too!
