My view of the Air Fryer

Post  yorkielass on 08.02.14 11:53

Well I have the Andrew James hinged 12L oven and had ordered the air fryer, then was worried after realising lots of people have said to put the extender ring on top of the air fryer as I can't do that with the hinged lid eek.... Well it arrived today and so far I have made chips lol and not had a problem with it being so close to the element all I did was drop the temp to 180 and cooked for 25 mins meaning they were nice and brown but also cooked fully. My view is that its actually better than the extender as the mesh can be removed and the vent holes closed and a huge advantage is the handles on the side so no more burnt fingers yay

Now that's a good idea! I love my air fryer because with the side handles it's so easy to move but taking off a hot extender ring is about the worse thing

Exactly so imo if someone is looking to buy a extender as a additional item then go for the air fryer which was £9.99 on play.com and it serves two purposes that way

I do oven chips etc on the air fryer with the extender ring on top at 200 for about 23 minutes...best oven chips/croquettes/hash browns/wedges we've ever had! They don't get greasy unlike when we used to use the conventional oven and are lovely and crisp Very Happy  with the results
