Christmas newbie.

Post  chris3cm on 30.12.13 14:09

Hi,
I'd been thinking about 'going halogen' for sometime so my sister bought me one for Xmas. Haven't unpacked it yet, but keen to get started. This forum looks like a good idea for novices like me.
Thanks,
Chris

be brave Chris, get it out of the box  What a Face

Start with something easy, like a cheese on toast or a piece of chicken. This will help you to understand how the oven works.

It's out of the box and I've used it!

Cooked fish fingers and oven chips for the grandson - came out fine! Planning banana cake next and looking forward to experimenting with lots of recipes.
Thanks for the welcome.

I'm new too and have used mine twice. I cooked a chicken in it the first time and it was delicious. Cooked beef yesterday, not so good. Some you win, some you lose. I'm having a go at upside down pud today.
My recipe book came yesterday, and with that and the tips on here I shall be OK when I get used to it
