I have just bought my first halogen oven today. Thought I'd try a baked potato to start with. The instruction book said 205 temperature and a time of 10/20 minutes, which I thought was not long enough. I cooked it for 20 minutes, then an extra 10 and then another 10. It was still very firm so I ended up finishing it off in the microwave for a few minutes. Why do the instruction books give such a small amount of time? I have read that it is trial and error, so will persevere. Only just found this forum and just joined so, hopefully, I will get the help I need.
