I have the ALDI HO and have found that the cooking times stated in most recipes are on the low side for this model. I have experimented with a lot of food from frozen to fresh.
i have used high and low racks with and without the extender.
its claimed to be 1400watts .
Cost savings are debatable with some recipes. A grill for example is about 1kw more than this HO but if its on a shorter time is no more expensive .
