Bread cooked with a little water in the HO.
Has anyone tried baking bread in the HO with a cup of water in the bottom? I saw a baker on tv put water in the oven (not a halogen) because he said it makes the crust really crunchy?

Hi MyGirl,
I have never done this myself but I reckon the water will keep the bread soggy.
I have used water in the bottom of the HO when steaming fish.

Bread and water in the HO.
Thank you for your reply I too have used water in the oven for cooking other things but not bread. The programme I saw that did this was the Baker Bros and they threw water in the wood oven they used and they said it made the bread crispy. I too thought it would be soggy.
