Well I made 8 fruit scones. Lovely brown tops but needed to wear my jungle gear to navigate the soggy swampy bottoms. Back in for 5 mins on their backs and some improvement but not great. Did not even taste like fruit scones. 220 deg high rack with extender for 10 mins after 3 min preheat. Used a greased baking tray (the round one as supplied). Perhaps mix may have been too sloppy as I had to add a little? more flour to get it to roll without sticking to the roller. Bit of a last stand here but will fight to the last and never surrender.
Still having fun

Now cooking a Delia all in one method sponge cake from the receipe section. 30 mins at 170 and no where ready. On again for 15 mins at 175 - perhaps foil cover may be problem in this oven. Second cake to cook yet so will leave off foil this time and see what happens. Wife worried about possible waste of money on oven??. Firing squad getting closer!

I have the same oven as you and find that I need to cook most things on 200 and just keep checking it. I love gadgets and thought this one might end up not being used, but I use it loads and it cooks lovely joints of meat......persevere I'm sure you'll get used to it.
