That is unusual. Normally it’s the vegs that take longer to cook in the halogen oven. Roast chickens cook beautifully.

Perhaps you should try a roast chicken on its own just as a test.
There is a tried and tested recipe here http://halogenovenrecipes.forumotion.com/t578-chicken-lemon-herb-roast-chicken

Good luck HoneyBun

Very Happy I had great success cooking a medium sized chicken. Cooked on bottom rack as am waiting for extender ring being delivered - turned it half way through. It was very moist and cooked perfectly. I did cook it by itself and cooked my veg in my steamer but very satisfied.

Hi
I have cooked a small chicken with roast potatoes and carrots and parsnips on the bottom rack. The chicken took 1 hour10 mins on 200 deg and the potatoes took 20 mins longer not so good for the carrots or parsnips as they were still hard after all this time.
Next in was a apple crumble and i gave it 40 mins on the top rack and it was yummy.
I just need to sort out the root veg and it will make me a very happy chap with my purchase. Chef

I cheat with the root veg tongue

I 'half cooked' them in the microwave first then put them in the HO.
