Another newbie!

Post  enaj666 on 04.01.13 16:43

Hi there, just got my halogen that I got for Xmas out of the box and put a chicken in it. Of course, not reading things properly, set the temp in F rather than C, so wondered why it wasn't doing much! lol.
Haven't a clue what I'm doing, but hey trial and error works normally eh!
Chicken with roast potatoes and carrots in it together, thinking that maybe I should be putting veggies in half way thru chicken cooking? hey ho... we'll see..

I do have some questions, but I'll have a browse thru all the topics first, then if no luck, will ask away and annoy everyone! lol.
Nice to meet you all Very Happy

Thanks OzziJude.

Just ate my roast chicken with roast tatties and carrots, and even though I cocked up with the temp at first, soon rectified it, although the potatoes hadn't cooked through once the chicken was done...
It was delicious. So juicy the meat, and crispy skin, which surprised me. After putting the potatoes back in for another ten mins, they were gorgeous, fluffy inside and crispy outside.
Very impressed, can't wait to do more now!
