Even cooking with halogen?

Post  doogie88 on 03.11.12 20:42

How even is the cooking with a halogen oven?
Say I had a piece of bread standing upright rather than laying down, would the top get burnt? Would it toasts the sides?

2. How long does it take to make toast from the second you start it up? I mean if you start it up, not let it heat up, just put the bread in, how long would toast take?

Toast doesn’t get brown like in a toaster – just a light pale gold colour, but it tastes better.

Cook at 200c for about 5 – 7 mins

I know other halogen oven users don’t, but I always turn the toast over half way through cooking. No need to do that if you have a toast rack.

Whether the top get burnt - I have never left a toast long enough to find out.

Other food such as cakes , pizzas, pies do get burnt.
