Not made in China?

Post  Phylis on 29.10.12 19:55

Does anyone know of a Halogen oven not made in China? One considered a reusable and reliable make. Thanks

Hi Phylis,
Every one I have looked at here is made in china, I think everything is made in china even the big brands.
I bought an Australian brand fridge recently, which use to be made here, to find out when it broke down, it was made in India now

Thanks Ozziejude, Does one just take 'pot luck' when choosing one to buy or are there ways of knowing which ones are better than others, does price come into it?

I do believe the VisiCook Halogen Oven and the VisiCook Halogen Crisp & Bake are made in Germany - or some parts are German manufactured.

I think a lot of the members have Andrew James one's.
We do not have them in Aussie, I bought my first one at a homeware place for $69 au it fall apart in two days, got my money back, my next one I bought at one of the places that sell nearly everything on the cheap from china etc for $29 au, and it is going fine.
You just can not tell.
