my fish and chips cooked very successfully, I took the advice I read on this site and blanched my chips in the microwave for 5 mins. I made breadcrumbs and dipped my fish in egg then breadcrumbs.
I preheated my oven for 6 minutes at 250 temperature ( I have an Andrew James oven ) then lowered the temperature to 180 and cooked my chips for 10 minutes on the low rack in a flat pan sprayed with oil, stirred them around then added my high rack and put my fish in the oven on a flat tray
sprayed with oil and cooked it for 5 minutes then tirned my fish and cooked for a further 5 minutes
and my husband and I both enjoyed our dinner
