Cakes with soggy bottoms

Post  ozziejude on 26.08.12 21:38

Hi,
When cooking cakes using round tins I did not have much luck, so I now use loaf or square tins and it seems to work better.

Hi Reeta
It seems to work, I do not know why, even when I cook bread rolls I use a rectangle tin, I think it could be, more hot air gets down the sides, my thought is the air is already circulating around so maybe the round tin holds more of the hot air in side it.
Just an idea, might not be right.
