New Member - New Oven

Post  BazPaul on 20.05.12 8:09

I\'m new here
Hello I am new to this, I am new, just got my oven yesterday (bought on a whim) and I haven't got a clue.

I don't use a normal oven much, so finding out how to use this is going to be intersting, to say the least.

I used my new oven for my tea last night, a frozen Cottage pie, 50 mins at 160c was lovely but top not browned off enough, Maybe a little longer, or should I have coated the top with something.

I would be happy for any advice.

I am going to try some of the recipes I have found on here.

Will keep you posted.

Welcome to the forum Paul.

The best advice I could give you is to read the posts in this forum. You will learn so much from members experiences, tips and advice. But if you have any specific questions , do not hesitate to ask.

About the Cottage pie, just cook it a little bit longer next time.

I am glad you have joined us Paul

Welcome Baz

Once you are sure the pie is cooked through, you could always turn up the heat to brown it.
