1 Howdy from Ireland! on 7/5/2012, 22:04

VexedRed

Hello everyone,

I'm not really sure what to say... I came here to look for some nice recipes and tips for using my (2nd)halogen oven-it's a Lloytron, our first was a Delta model and we loved it like a child!
Unfortunately we had a leak in the kitchen that damaged our first one Sad We were heartbroken as we absolutely detest having to use the conventional oven so we immediately went out to buy another-I didn't even think there were differences in them as I was in such a panic to get another but I have found that the Lloytron doesn't seem as *good* as the Delta but either are better than a conventional oven!
We have been totally converted, we cook everything we possibly can in it but there are a few things I wasn't so sure about-like baking and breadmaking, accessories and replacement parts (especially whether it's possible to buy them locally-in Kildare, Ireland) and so that's why I'm here!
Hopefully I can contribute a few of my own recipes as I gather them aswell, thanks for reading. Very Happy

Hi Lonergan2468,

I just received an easy soda bread recipe from my Mum yesterday-what a coincidence!
I made it in the regular oven just to see if it was as easy/tasty as she had led me to believe and it absolutely is! I am not sure whether to make it in my HO just yet as I don't have an extender ring yet (and I'm afraid it might burn)-I ordered one on the net and it should be with me soon and when I get it I will give it a go and put the results up for you!
