New Halogen Oven Owner Delivered Today.

Post  Jillyhw on 16.04.12 16:28

Hi Everyone, My name is Jilly and I am the proud owner of a new Cookshop AX798DH Halogen Oven.
I would like to know if you can cook a garlic baguette in the Halogen Oven and if so how long does it take. Also has anyone cooked a store bought ready made lasagne in the tray its packed it, it can be used in a conventional oven but just wondered if it can be used in the Hal.

Hi Jilly

Yes you can do a garlic baguette - it takes a little less time than your 'big' oven and lower the temperature a bit too.

If your lasagne is safe to go in your conventional oven, then it's safe in the HO. I follow the fan oven instructions lowering the heat by around 20C and reducing the time a little. Just think of your new oven as a small and efficient fan oven - which it is Smile

The heat circulates best when you use the top rack with the extender in place.
