Hi & Thanks for Welcoming me. I found that the books I received with the cooker didn't have just plain cooking in them Like roast leg of Lamb, also do you know if you can cook ready made chicken pies (Frozen or Thawed) in these here cookers??

Hi Jackie

Yes you can do frozen or thawed (providing, of course, that they are suitable for cooking from frozen) - just follow the fan oven instructions on the packet. For best results line the base with foil or place a metal baking tray in the bottom to reflect the heat back up, preheat the HO to around 20C less than the fan oven instructions, use the top rack with the extender ring in place. It will probably cook in a little less time than the instructions say, depending on size, but make sure it is piping hot throughout before serving.
If the pastry browns too quickly you can cover the top with foil for part of the cooking time. The glass bowl is great for seeing what is going on in the oven.

The books that come with the ovens aren't too clever - use the search box to look for previous posts and recipes on a particular topic Smile
