Hi, I read elsewhere that you have the steamer tray. I'm new too but from what I gather, you can place a small container of water (with wine, juices and/or herbs if desired) on the bottom tray. Then place food on the perforated tray on the top tray which will allow the steam to circulate. For those without a steamer tray simply wrap the top tray with foil and perforate the foil which lets the steam through and stops small pieces of food falling through.
I only got my oven this morning so haven't tried this yet but hope it is helpful, Junie
PS If anyone has tried this can you let us new people know how you got on - thanks.

Hi and thank you both for the advice, it makes sense. I have been afraid to think for myself in case of doing any damage to the oven, now, I am going to think of it as another oven and just get on with it. Thank again folks.

Barbara

Using the oven

Post  kellybarb44 on 26.02.10 18:09

Thank you again Bizzy Bee, and I know I'll get to the stage when I don't use my main oven either. I have only had the halogen for two days and already I can see the time saving by using it, it is much quicker than the regular oven and you don't have to heat such a large area.

Regards
Barbara
