baking trays

Post  Lynnepam on 29.03.12 8:24

Hi
I've just been given a Halogen oven and have yet to use it (I only got it yesterday) whilst looking on the web for recipes and instructions I have noticed that some recipes say that I need a baking tray. Can I use any round tray out of my cupboard that fits or do I need to buy a special one for halogen cookers. I'm just being impatient as I want to get going and cook something.

Hi Lyn
I use the bottoms of my springform pans if I need a tray, I use them for bread rolls, bacon etc. I just pick the size for what I am cooking if it is a couple of sausages I use the smallest to let more hot air down the sides. Bread rolls I use the bigger one there is still a gap between the tray and glass bowl.
Have fun learning
