hot and spicy chips

Post  mo on 04.03.12 16:58

I was thinking of coating my chips with a hot spice, like the potato wedges you can buy in Asda. But how would I do this? How can I get the spice to stick to the chips? Should I coat with oil first and then toss them in spice? If I'm the first to think of this, then I suppose it's up to me to be the first to experiment!

hot and spicy chips sounds delicious

Hi Mo,
this is how I would go about it:

In a bowl, mix the potato chips with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Add dried parsley, garlic powder, paprika, chilli powder. . . These ingredients are just a guide. You can use others.
Toss to mix well. Season with salt and black pepper.

delicious

Hi Mo

I just toss with a little oil and herbs or spices in a food bag, season and job done - not even a bowl to wash Smile

Hi there.!Hot and spicy chips?? interesting... !! I love spices. Anyway, After the chips is fried, toss immediately the spices onto the chips. After frying this will be hot and loaded with oil that will cause to help spices stick to them.

Coat chips in oil and your favourite spices spread on a baking tray and cook in the oven.
