Time formula.

Post  Tweet on 24.02.12 19:12

Hello,
Is their some kind of time, or temperature formula to be taken into consideration, if you wish to try making your favourite recipe in an Halogen Oven, that would normally be cooked in the ordinary oven?

Hi Glenys,

here's a previous post from June. This will give you a guide.

HO's vary a bit in output so a definative chart isn't really possible. For the most part I reduce the fan oven instructions by 20C and reduce the time by approx 5 minutes for every 15-20 minutes the recipe calls for. This will help with a starting point till you get used to your particular oven.

On the whole cooking for longer at a lower temperature works best. . .
