New User from HArrow, UK

Post  harrowwoman on 23.02.12 14:44

Hi, just bought one of these ovens, its a Visicook, I have always wanted one but the price put me off. This one was on offer so I just picked up the box and brought it home.
The oven has been unpacked and put on my worktop. I do agree that the manual is too limited, hence my journey here.
The extender ring which came with the oven seems to sit around the outside bottom of the bowl alright, would it be ok to leave it there?
I have not used it yet, wondered if it is ok for making cake?
I will spend some time reading through the posts to see what tips I can pick up.

You won't see what's cooking inside, at the bottom of the oven.

Baking cake is not easy . You will need lots of experimenting to get it right for your oven. Try making cupcakes for your first attempt instead of a big cake.

Reading through the posts is a good start. You will learn a lot from other members.
