New to site & new Halogen oven user

New to site & new Halogen oven user

Hi,
I'm looking forward to using the site as soon as I've fed my hungry family! I bought my new oven last week and so far have tried heating a pizza from frozen but not very impressed by results, base still soft after 15 minutes at 180 degrees, perhaps I need to increase heat or leave it to cook longer??? I was making brown soda bread today (no yeast)but too cowardly to try the halogen oven. I'm not giving up though and wonder if any of you experts can advise me on the conversion temperature and time from traditional cooking to halogen oven cooking, even a rough indication would be most appreciated. HO's vary a bit in output so a definative chart isn't really possible. For the most part I reduce the fan oven instructions by 20C and reduce the time by approx 5 minutes for every 15-20 minutes the recipe calls for. This will help with a starting point till you get used to your particular oven.

On the whole cooking for longer at a lower temperature works best. Look up pizza in the search box and you'll see what works for others.
