Hello everyone
Just joined this site following a panic search ont tinternet. Bought my halogen cooker a couple of weeks ago. My first attempt at roasting a chicken was a disaster although my dog Freddie didnt think so as he got to eat it all. It was ready in 40 minutes as stated in the handbook but was as tough as old boot
Am about to try again this time with chicken portions and roast veg. Husband is very sceptical and says it was a waste of money and should use the convential oven. Can anyone help me in proving him wrong

It's a shame your chicken didn't turn out because roasts in the HO are the best - I wouldn't dream of going back to my 'big' oven for them. There is a recipe for my lemon and herb roast chicken in the A-Z of recipes which may help you.

Re: Hello everyone
Hi would just like to say the meal turned out fab. Reduced the cooking temp to 180 instead of suggested 200 and the chicken joints were perfect. Moved the roasties to the top for last 15 mins and turned up the heat and they were done to a turn.
