I want to do chips in the HO, is there a tray I can get that will fit into it? if so then where can I purchase one?

Hi Mary,

the best way to cook chips in the halogen oven is to use a pizza/chips mesh. They are reusable and you can cut them to fit your oven. Just place it on the rack - distribute the chips all over and cook.

Amazon sell them - Link here >CHIPS / PIZZA MESH

I got mine from my local PoundShop

Hi.I haven't got a mesh pizza tin..and I want to try sausage and chips tonight for the first time....can I put my home made chips on top of an ordinary tin? as I would do in my convential oven...do I put the sausages on top or underneath the chips? any tips would be gratefully received. Very Happy

they can as i use it all the time now: for frozen chips an taste much better;
also note some chips dont always get cook threw so make sure you turn them.
if you want them 2 be brown put small drop of oil around the middle on the chips.
hope this helps enjoy

I bought an old fashioned chip basket from an Ironmongers, cost about £2.99. Then cut/sawed the handle off, easy, the basket goes in the HO then you shake it every now and then to redistribute the chips, much easier than trying to shake a plate, good luck

Hi Hairy Mary, I do the same as Realalemadrid,old chip basket from rectangular fat fryer, Luckily the handle on mine pinches together and unclips.Ordinary spuds,frozen chips or frozen oven chips.I use a mist spray with oil in over the chips then take out basket,shake it up,spray it,half way through then put it back in for the other half.The more chips you put in,the more you take them out to shake them up.Turning them over on the baking tray doesnt work for me,but thats me.Enjoy
