Hi Just bought a 7.5L halogen oven from Netto in their special offer for £29.

Cooked a small 1Kg chicken with roast potatoes according to the instruction manual and it was a disaster! Hence me looking for forums on the subject.

I live in NE England, self employed IT Tech (so if you have any PC problems I may he able to offer free advice.

I will post details of my first disaster in the relevant forums.

Hi everyone

I'm late 30's with a ten year old daughter and am 38 wks pregnant with number 2.
I too am new to halogen ovens. I bought mine, a 12 litre one from TJ Hughes a couple of days ago for £45. I decided it would make cooking easier and quicker with the new baby. My mum and I tried it out as soon as we got home and cooked a large chicken. We followed the instructions given but found it was slightly undercooked.
We decided it would be better cooked for a bit longer than recommended and on a slightly lower setting.
I did however do some crumpets with cheese in there this morning and they came out fantastic!
Looking forward to trying out everyone's recipes Very Happy

Hi. My name is John. Married, 79 years old. Keen on cooking. In Zimbabwe I had a (non-halogen) fan unit and I loved it. Halogen is a new and interesting experience for me.

Hello Everyone,
First of all I want to say thank you for such a great & helpful site Very Happy
My Name is Janice and I got a Halogen Oven from my parents for christmas. I am hopeing that the oven will make my life easier as I have Rhuematoid Arthritis so find if very hard to lift pots/pans, roasting trays etc., not to mention opening the oven door. So the Halogen Oven seems like the perfect solution and hopefuly I can cook up some lovely scrumptious meals for me and the kids Question
May I take this chance to wish everyone a 'VERY HAPPY & HEALTHY 2010' xx

welcome Janice
'VERY HAPPY & HEALTHY 2010 to you and your family too
