New to halogen oven cooking

Post  George55 on 04.02.12 10:34

Yes you can say it ... I'm a virgin to the world of the halogin oven cooking. I'm looking forward to trying new & hopefuly quick meals. As I live on my own it should be quicker than the conventional oven method. Time is money so they say & so is the electric, wish me luck on my new quest of cooking

i feel the main fault people make when buying a HO they think its a magical machine that will make wonderful dinners bish bash bosh style all on its own! Laughing You need to know its just a oven and really need to use it mostly as you would a big main oven ie you cover things over, you turn things, you cook things off and at different hights etc and costing less electric. Chef It takes a bit to get your head around but once you understand your HO well mines used every night! Lol Ive always made spag bol, currys, cassaroles etc on the hob and then pushed them in the oven to bake though for falavor.
