Embarassed Newbie, my husband is involved with the Motorcaravan Club and having read somewhere about the HO and Aldi having them for sale today decided to buy an Aldi 12 Ltr oven today, then typical man off with him to M&S and buys a 2 lb chicken and says try that this afternoon, now the instructions in the box are as useless as a lighthouse in a bog, in fact worse, so I googled and found this site and forum and then thanks to you people I downloaded the recipie booklet but it says something about puttin the chicken in a pot ,? is this correct what kind of pot, as you may gather I am completly lost but see great prospects If I can master it,for using this cooker in our Motor home this coming season So if anybody has any idea as to what's best do I put a pot or plate on the lower rack please just let me know

Newbie with the Motorcaravan Club

Welcome Ansheen

The poor instructions 'provided' are why we are here. This is a link to my recipe for roast chicken - obviously your cooking time will be increased by around 20 minutes as my chicken was smaller -

If you type 'roast chicken' into the search box you'll be able to find all previous posts on the subject too.

Thank you so much for your help, and of course the welcome, We tried the cooker (great fun) panic when the light kept going on and off, but HE, Shocked confident as ever said it's only the thermostat, right as blooming usual. We look forward to having some fun found a load of video on U tube and are now dedicated to using this gadget as often as needs
Many thanks
